EASYPLANNER - CUSTOM EVENT PLANNING APPLICATION

For business-to-business companies with advanced products, specialized events are often a key part of the marketing and sales mix. These events provide a way to present and demonstrate the capabilities of their products and solutions.

One company turned to the Majec Systems team to develop a web-based, online event planner application to provide its sales and marketing personnel an easy way to create emails, mailing lists, and support materials that are used to invite and remind people about upcoming events. This application, dubbed EasyPlanner, provides an unlimited number of users a way to plan and manager their events. One user of this application even allowed his customers to use the tool to schedule their own events. Other freely available tools such as EventBrite and ConstantContact were initially considered but the confidential nature of the client's business made use of these event registration tools unsuitable for the needs of the end users.

Listening closely to the client needs, Majec Systems developed a web application that once developed, fully tested, and deployed on the client's website, precisely handled the most complex event registration and communications program. The global sales and marketing staff could use templates and add contact lists per specific on-site seminars. The user interface provided a means for the event planners to see recommended lists of sales tools to order for the event as well as send reminders to attendees and post event followup emails.
